Inbound AI receptionist for clinic enquiries

Clinics can use Nufono for inbound call answering: patients who ring the published number to ask about hours, directions, or to request a booking. Nufono is not a clinical device and is not offered as a HIPAA-certified service.

Nufono conversations are customer-initiated or explicitly opt-in. The product is not for unsolicited contact. Customers remain responsible for TCPA, GDPR, and do-not-contact rules that apply to them.

Inbound scenario

Take appointment and clinic enquiries from people who already called you.

  • Answer opening-hours and location questions on inbound lines
  • Book or change appointments the patient requested
  • Escalate clinical questions to a human — never diagnose by AI

How teams use Nufono here

The AI receptionist can collect the reason for the call, check published opening hours, and offer slots the patient asked to book. Clinical advice and protected health information must stay with qualified staff.

Nufono does not currently offer a Business Associate Agreement. Do not use the platform to store or process protected health information unless you have a separately documented legal arrangement.

Reminders are only for people who already booked and opted in. There is no outreach to purchased patient lists and no unsolicited health marketing.

Example inbound conversation

A patient calls the clinic number printed on their appointment card. The agent confirms the existing booking, offers a patient-requested reschedule, and transfers medical questions to reception staff.
